IBTS asks blood donors to make a special effort to get to a clinic this week

The IBTS has asked blood donors to make a special effort to attend clinics this coming week.  “In the last week donations at IBTS clinics have suffered significantly. Four clinics were cancelled due the weather and unforeseen circumstances and attendances at other clinics were down due to the adverse weather conditions. Hospitals were asked to conserve supplies last week. Details of clinic times and venues are available on www.giveblood.ie.

"Supplies in most blood groups are at the four day level and will go into sharp decline early this week, unless attendance improves," said Paddy Bowler IBTS Director of Operations.
